Cady Voge is a freelance multimedia journalist and award-winning documentary filmmaker. All We Carry (2024) is her feature documentary directorial debut. After years reporting across the Americas while based in Bogotá, Colombia, Cady is back in her hometown in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has experience shooting and directing documentaries, writing feature articles, hosting and producing podcasts, and packaging radio and TV news pieces. She reports in English, Spanish, and French.
Formerly the managing editor at Innovations | Stories, Cady designed and spearheaded their multimedia editorial strategy.
Cady holds an MA in International Journalism from City St. George’s, University of London, and a B.S. in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Documentary Arts from UC Davis.
From 2010-2015, Cady directed a global education non-profit called One World Youth Project (OWYP), where she also used her storytelling and video producing skills for online trainings and curriculum designed for cross-cultural exchange.
All We Carry (2024)
The feature documentary, All We Carry, follows a young family’s extraordinary journey as they flee persecution from narco-traffickers in Honduras and endure months in US detention. Upon release, a Seattle synagogue sponsors the family while they await the final decision on their asylum case. Over three years, the family navigates countless life-altering and every-day moments where memory, joy, and grief collide.
